Sounds like you are enjoying the quest randy. Are you primarily riding the quest or mixing it up with your other bikes yet... I got a few rides in with the nocom, but pretty much rode all summer with the race cap. Your speeds sound about right with a cap and foothole covers. I did a race this summer ... 4 climbs over 350 ft on the course and still managed to take 1st place. 100 mile tt race... drafting allowed, although I didn't lol I ended up with a 3:49:26 with the quest and wim schermer race kap. I'm wondering if the footholes on the xs and the standard quest are the same. I'm needing some foothole covers as well. I just don't have the time to be making them. Wonder if you would be interested in shipping some to michigan.... assuming the foot openings are the same...

oh, and you will probably gain another mph when your windshield is in place. I find that there isn't much difference in speed when I have the visor totally down vs cracked an inch or so, but tried it without the visor and lost a little more than a mph from drag.

Chris, my foothole covers wrap around the front of the fairing some so there is a specific contour probably unlike the XL. They're probably deeper than you need as well. I've only been riding the Quest. I have 1300 miles on it so far. I'm looking forward to trying a windshield. As it is there is a jet stream coming through the opening.
