Folsom Canal, 55.5 miles. QuestXS (foothole covers, hood). 24.6mph average. Easy day; ~27mph steady on the trail, just loafing. I really like riding with the hood. It fits with my introverted personality.
I noticed no rearview mirrors... how are you seeing behind you to make turns safely on the roads? I guess the hole openings on the sides of your hood is enough to see sideways, but where does the body heat escape from..... looks like the hood is tight to the body.
Chris, I have a hand mounted mirror that I've always used on regular recumbents. To see behind me I stick it out the side hole. For ventilation there is a hump in the tail that's open. In an earlier posted called "co2 vent" there is a close-up of it.
